Why aren't I getting biometric data readings (ex: SpO2)?

Why aren't I getting biometric data readings (ex: SpO2)?

The signals we use to capture the Oxygen Saturation percentage are generally very sensitive to light exposure and movement. These signals can very easily get distorted under any of the following conditions:

  • When the wristband isn't tight enough
  • When there is slight hand movement during the recording session
  • When there is ambient light

We suggest avoiding those scenarios to increase your chances of getting your Oxygen Saturation biometric value correctly.

One way to make sure that the ambient light is not interfering with the recording and improve signal quality is to wear a sweatband over the wristband or cover it with a blanket or piece of clothing.

Additionally, wearing a sweatband while sleeping will ensure that you are getting absolutely the BEST signal quality!

If you're unable to capture oxygen saturation data during a manual biometrics recording, please check your sleep session.

If there is no SpO2 data from your sleep session, please email us at support@biostrap.com

If there is SpO2 data from your sleep session, the manual biometrics readings will work as long as neither ambient light nor movement interferes with the recording.
